URL Opener: Open Up to 50 Links in New Tabs

Paste a list of links, one per line, and open them all in new browser tabs with one click. Free, nothing to install.

What Is a URL Opener?

Quick answer: A free URL opener takes a list of web addresses, one per line, and opens each in its own browser tab when you click once. Paste your links into the box above and press the button to open multiple links at once.

There is nothing to install. A few lines of JavaScript run in your own browser, so it needs no extension. The box is labelled "Enter up to 50 Domains (Each Domain must be on separate line)" and the button reads "Open All URLs".

How to Open Multiple URLs at Once

  1. Paste your links. Copy and paste URLs, one URL per line, into the 12-row text box. Blank lines are ignored.
  2. Click Open All URLs. Every valid line opens in a new tab. We clear window.opener, so opened pages cannot reach back into this one.
  3. Allow pop-ups if asked. If only the first tab appears, your browser held the rest back. Allow pop-ups for this site, then click again.
  4. Read the status line. It says "Opened 3 tab(s)." and names up to three skipped lines, then "and N more".

Test first: Paste three links before fifty. If all three open, your list format is right. Blocking can still hit later tabs.

What Counts as a Valid Link (Bare Domains, Schemes and Skipped Lines)

You can leave off the https prefix. These were typed into the live page and opened as shown.

What you typeWhat opens
example.comhttps://example.com/
python.org/abouthttps://python.org/about (path kept)
HTTP://nginx.orghttp://nginx.org/ (scheme kept)
//cdn.example.com/ahttps://cdn.example.com/a
example.com:8080/xhttps://example.com:8080/x (port number kept)
A non-Latin domain nameIts punycode form
192.168.1.1Opens, as an IP address

A bare hostname opens over https. A site that only answers on plain http needs its full http:// address.

Anything that is not a plain web address is skipped and named under the box, so a typo never costs a tab: javascript:, mailto:, ftp:, file: and data: lines, spaces, localhost, hosts without a dot, a leading hyphen, or 256.1.1.1. Skipped lines never use up your 50. Private IPs such as 10.0.0.1 open as typed. Clean odd characters with the URL encode and decode tool first.

Why Only the First Tab Opens (Pop-Up Blockers)

Browsers treat a single click that spawns many windows like a pop-up ad, so many block or ask about the extras. Our script calls window.open inside the click handler, which counts as user activation; a timer would be blocked outright. We cannot quote a tab limit for your browser.

  1. Read the red status line. Blocked pop-ups are counted: "Your browser blocked N tab(s) as pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for this site in the address bar and click the button again."
  2. Change site permissions. Use the address bar icon. Chrome has a guide to allow pop-ups in Chrome.
  3. Click again. There is no timer and no retry, so you trigger it.

How Many URLs Can You Open at Once?

Fifty valid links per click, for everyone. A list of 50 opened 50 tabs. A list of 51 opened 50 and printed "1 more address(es) were not opened: the limit is 50 at a time." The first 50 in typed order win, the rest are dropped, so paste them again.

Duplicate URLs are not removed. example.com, https://example.com and two more spellings opened four tabs, all counted toward the 50, so strip repeats first; a spreadsheet does it in seconds. Advice, not a measured limit: an older laptop may do better with 10 to 20 links per click.

Practical Uses for SEO, QA and Research

For an SEO audit or backlink review, open URLs from a list and read each page in its own tab. After a release, open every staging landing page for QA, one browser tab each.

It only opens tabs, so you judge each page by eye. For anything measurable, hand the page to a checker: the website SEO score checker for a full audit, the meta tag analyzer for titles and descriptions, the domain hosting checker to see where a site lives, or the WHOIS lookup for its owner. The ping tool tests whether a host answers, and the XML sitemap generator builds a page list. You can also browse published SEO reports or all free tools.

Privacy: Your List Stays in Your Browser

A test click sent nothing to us, and the tool's server route answers 404, so no list can be posted. The sites you open still see your visit. Do not paste private links that carry a token or password in the address.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) is a list of common questions and answers provided to quickly address common concerns or inquiries.

How many URLs can I open at once?

You can open 50 valid links per click. In our tests 50 lines opened 50 tabs, while 51 lines opened 50 and reported one as not opened. The first 50 in typed order are used, and skipped lines do not count. Your browser may still block tabs.

Why does only one tab open when I click Open All URLs?

A pop-up blocker is the usual cause. The page counts refused tabs and shows a red message. Allow pop-ups for this site from the address bar, then click again. A browser may block extra tabs, and settings differ, so we give no fixed numbers.

Can I paste domains without http or https?

Yes. A bare domain such as example.com opens as https://example.com/, and a line starting with // also gets https. If you type http:// yourself, it is kept. A site answering only on plain http needs its full address written out.

Does the URL Opener remove duplicate links?

No. Four equivalent lines, such as example.com and https://example.com, opened four tabs in our test. Duplicates also count toward the limit of 50, so remove repeats from your list before you click. The tool only opens what you give it.

Is my list of links sent to your server?

No. A test click made no request to our server, and the handler for this tool returns a 404 if anything tries to post to it. Your browser opens the tabs itself. The sites you open still see your visit, so keep private links out.

Which lines does the URL Opener skip?

It skips lines with spaces, javascript:, mailto:, ftp:, file: and data: lines, localhost, hosts without a dot, and invalid numbers like 256.1.1.1. The status line names the first three skipped lines and counts the rest. An address like 192.168.1.1 still opens.
