How to Check Who Hosts a Website
This web hosting checker needs four steps, and a lookup finished in 0.2 to 1.2 seconds in our tests.

Why You May See a CDN Instead of the Real Host
A content delivery network works as a reverse proxy: it answers for the site, so the A record points at the CDN and not the origin server. That is why example.com showed Cloudflare, Inc. in Toronto and python.org showed Fastly, Inc. in Montreal (registrar Gandi SAS).
Distrust the city too: for an anycast address it describes the address, not necessarily where visitors are served.
The registrar and Name Servers rows still carry real information. Compare the name servers with the DNS records on Find DNS Record, and run the address through IP Location. Only the site owner can name the origin, because this tool stops at the CDN edge.
Hosting Provider, Registrar and Name Servers Are Different Things
The web host runs the server, the registrar sells the name, and the DNS provider answers lookups. For seositechecker.pro we saw Secured Servers LLC, NameCheap, Inc. and Cloudflare name servers: three companies, one site.
Registry rows come from the Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP), the structured successor to WHOIS, defined in RFC 9083, with WHOIS as the fallback. Some registries publish less: denic.de showed name servers and Last Update On, but no registrar, Created On or Expire On. Before you buy a name, Domain Name Search shows whether it is still available.
Limits, Freshness and Accuracy
Host and location data can be up to 7 days old, registry data up to 12 hours.
Location is approximate. The Hosting row is the network owner, so shared hosting, a VPS or a dedicated server rented through a reseller appears under the data center company.
If the host name is unfamiliar, test the address with the Blacklist Checker for abuse listings. An internal address such as 192.168.1.1 has no hosting data to show.

How do I find out who hosts a website?
Enter the domain in the box above and press Check Domain Name. The Hosting row names the organization that owns the IP address the domain points to. A WHOIS command gives registration data only, so it will not name the web host.
Why does the hosting checker show Cloudflare?
The site is behind a CDN or proxy, so the domain resolves to the CDN address, not the origin server. The result shows where the domain is served from, not where the files sit. A Toronto result for an address registered there may be served from anywhere.
Is the server location exact?
No. It is IP geolocation at city level, it can be wrong, and for CDN addresses it describes the address, not the origin or the visitor. It works as a rough pointer for competitor research.
Is the hosting checker free, and do I need an account?

Yes. An IP shows the Hosting, Server IP and Server Location rows only. You get no registrar, name servers or dates, because an IP address has no registration record of its own, so type the domain when you want those rows too.
